Fun times with the kids

Jamie has been off work since last Thursday so we have been having a blast with them. Thursday we went to African Lion's Safari with Avie. It rained most of the time we were there but we seemed to manage with the extra towels, rain ponchos and umbrella's we had. The shows still went on and the kids had fun. We left at 3 and we had dinner in Cambridge before heading home.

Friday Jamie took Micah to the waterpark in Hamilton. We had to explain to him before we agreed to take him that he would have to go underwater after going down so fast. If he couldn't do that then there was no point in going. He was just fine and boy did he ever have fun with Dad. No photos but it's hard to ride the waterslides and take pictures at the same time. Oh well.

Kendra and I got some peaches in Niagara-on-the-Lake and then went shopping at the Pen Centre while the boys were at the water park. Kendra was quite good and way too cute since she wouldn't take off her Ballerina dress. I did finally get a bathing suit after trying on probably at least 50 of them. Less selection but the price is right at 60 percent off (got my $78 bathing suit for $38 including the taxes - sweet).

Friday night we went over to my mom's place to sleep over as we were having the huge garage sale Saturday morning. There was so much stuff there but some of it went. We had one couple who had to be antique dealers come take $120 worth of mostly China stuff. There was the huge couch and chair that sold too for $175. Other than that we made about $40 and my grandma made about $500. It was quite a hot day for the garage sale once the shade was gone from the sun. It made it hard to clean everything up. Jamie loaded all the left over stuff to the Goodwill store in two loads. So hard to part with it but it's too much work to pack it all up again. So we kept the sewing stuff, the pull out couch and a few items we wanted to keep but other than that it's gone. So hard to part with it all as it's almost as if Grandma is dead but she isn't. We didn't get to leave until 4:30 pm and Kendra feel asleep instantly in the car. We sent her right to bed but she never did get up until 7 am the next morning. We were so afraid that one of use would have to be up with her in the middle of the night.

Sunday we went to church and peeled a load of peaches but other than that we rested and boy did we need it.

Today I took all the kids to Port Dalhousie for about 3 hours. They had fun playing in the water, building sand castles and making themselves into mermaids and they especially love the carosuel rides for 5 cents each.

And the count down to Hawaii is 3 days. We are praying though as apparently there is a hurricane coming nearby tommorrow.
