Ethan at one month

A friend of mine, Heather Moll has done pictures of her kids at each month and described the things they are doing at that month. I just love the concept and having to write it down here in my blog lets me write it down before I forget.




Ethan at one month:

Smiled on his one month birthday for the first time
Has been cooing since 3 weeks old
Was 11 lbs, 9 oz at 3 weeks old
Gets overtired easily
Takes a long time to get to sleep when overtired
Loves to be awake from 9-11 at night
Has gone 4-5 hours with a big feed since birth
Wears cloth diapers during the day and disposibles at night
Slept in mom's bed until he was 10 days old
Loved swaddling until he was 3 weeks old (he gets upset that his hands are tight after that)
Took a soother sometimes but mostly just spit it back out
Slept on his back until he was 4 weeks
Screams in the carseat most of the time
Is learning to use his hands on his play gym
Only spits up every once in a while
Is very chubby in the face since he was born
Eats from mom's breast on demand but generally every 3 hours
Loves to look outside the window from the swing
Doesn't like the vibrating bouncy chair or the swing to go to sleep
Loves the bath (other than the first time)
Has longer hair at the back of his head that is brownish red, otherwise he is bald
Has a red "stork bite" on the back on his head
Has a rash on his cheeks
Has light coloured eye brows
Gets the hiccups often
Wears 3-6 month clothing
His soft spot has closed at 3 weeks
Holds his head fairly well
Was circumsized at 19 days old
