The kitchen arrived and all is set

Well today was an early start. Micah was up at 3:30 am and did go back to bed but he was up again at 5:30 am and he woke up everyone in the process. He stayed in bed for about 30 minutes but he was up for good along with Kendra. My awesome husband took care of the kids, while I went back to sleep for an hour. What a blessing that was!

My girlfriend, Christine, came over with the kitchen set today. She called this morning to let me know she was coming. Apparently, she underestimated how big this kitchen is as she couldn't fit it in her station wagon. She had to get her former partner to bring it in the van with the kids. That was so nice of her. She also dropped off a present for me and the kids.

Today was a clean up day. I cleaned the back hallway so that we could get the kitchen in the house from the garage later tonight. I put my Grandma's antique trunk in the closet so now it's out of the way. Jamie fixed the light bulb finally. Got the leaf in the kitchen table and the linens on it.

Made a birthday cake for Jesus with Micah today. I hope he is getting this. It all has to be confusing for him. We had the cake after church. It was a nice way to get him behaved at the same time teaching him of Jesus' Birthday.

Kendra had two naps today so all should be good with her going to church a little later than bedtime (Christmas Eve service was at 7 pm).

Jamie's family came over for 5:45pm to take family pictures (we do funny ones too!) and then we went to Christmas Eve service at our church, Lakemount Worship Centre. Jamie's sister is staying over tonight and everyone else is going home and coming back again in the morning. Can't wait.

Micah didn't get to bed until 9:30 pm since he had a nap today. So the three of us had some work to do cleaning up the kitchen (it was a little bit dirty) and getting the bed in from the garage.

We didn't get to bed until 11 pm.
